Wireless Laptop Adapters

I have been trying to stay on top of things; and getting myself wireless seams like the wave of the future! Now I just have to decide between the many verities of different cards available out there for my laptop.  And let's talk plans!! I do not know about you but I live on an island that is still behind the times and to get cell service on your laptop when in the field will be challenging.

Who out there has made the jump to Wireless on your laptop? How do you like it?

You have some choices with this, mostly dependent on who is the best phone service provider. Your wireless card is only as good as the phone service. You also can forgo the wireless card and use your cell phone as your modem. You just need to get an unlimited data plan and either be bluetooth or get a cable to connect to the USB port of your computer.

Good Luck

Thank you Joeann,

I do have bluetooth but this is the first time that I have heard that I can hook up my laptop to my cell phone. I will have to call Verizon again.

I run my computer through my phone via a USB connection.  It took a call to tech support to figure it out.  It wasn't easy at all.  Of course now, there is an icon and hooking up is REALLY easy.
