They're Fighting Every Day. Not Just on Holidays.

FREEDOM ISN'T FREE! PRAY FOR THEM EVERY DAY; NOT JUST ON HOLIDAYS.

public domain image-designtoatThis post is just a gentle reminder to continually pray for the brave men and women who are fighting for our freedom. In the last few days, I've read many blog posts, honoring the men and women of our armed forces. But I thought I'd post a gentle reminder to continually encourage, and pray for them and their families at all times.

On Midori Miller's blog, I found a post that included a video that, in my opinion, does an excellent job of explaining why so many people choose to join this war. The video actually begins with an brilliant explanation of the convictions of the men and women who enter the armed forces. I'll let you watch the video and experience it for yourself.

And don't forget; freedom isn't free! If you don't know what to pray, try this... Pray for the safety, and mental health of our troups at all times. And pray for encouragement and comfort for their families too. If you have to post reminders on your fridge, on your mirrors, in your car, and every place you spend time, then do so. We have many enemies who would love to steal our freedoms. They don't only plot against us on the holidays we have to honor our troups. They're plotting and scheming against us at all times. They literally hate us! So, pray "without ceasing". Please, for our troups, their families, and our entire nation; never forget! Remain vigilant, and remember, freedom isn't free.

Nice tribute. I think many people don't realize the sacrifice made by thousands of men and women, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters - every day.

Lord, We pray for our Military Families here in the States and abroad. We thank you for their dedication to County, Family Values and Jesus Christ. For their willingness to be in harms way, split apart from loved ones, for the sake of freedom in our homeland, and democracy spread across the globe. Help us to fight against terrorism, and enemies of truth and freedom, and human rights and the Prince of Darkness masquerading as light. Lord we humble ourselves before you, asking you to heal our land, bring you people to live soberly, righteous, and godly before you, to seek your Wisdom and be willing and eager to be involved with community, and organizations making a positive difference across the world, by the power of your Holy Spirit going before us. We lift your Name above our lives as a Banner of Love and Truth. Thank you for revealing your Son, our Saviour in Creation, Nature, Your Word, The Prophets, The Patriarchs, The Judges, The Priests, The Burning Bush, John the Baptist, The women at the well, the disciples and apostles, the preaching of your word, testimonies, All things and especially Jesus and the resurrection. May we make time each day to pray and study your word, and put your first in all things. Amen.

Paul- Praying the scriptures. Exactly what needs to be done. It's the only way to bring forth the truth, and full power of Jesus Christ, who is able to do exceedinbly, abundantly, above all we can ask, or even think.

Enjoyed the video Lisa and will continue in my life to pray for soldiers. It's so very personal to me, married to a man who served, daughter and granddaughter of men who served.

Here's another great video for our times: Gene Simmons from KISS, entertaing the troops and singing with them. I had tears in my eyes long before they got to "God Bless America."

Part of it is the music, and part of it is seeing the faces of the service men and women - their pride in their country and in their work.

Enjoy this video!

I was in a furniture store yesterday and spoke with the saleswoman. Her son celebrated his 26th birthday yesterday. He was injured in the line of duty 2-3 years ago and is still experiencing all kinds of problems from an injured brain stem to schrapnel in his knee. She said, "He's not the same man I sent over there." My heart broke for her. How many others like him are out there? They are still taking their lives into their own hands every day for us. May God bless and protect each and every one of them. Thanks for your beautiful post.

Patsy- Injured brain stem! That's horrible! And all the other problems too. I can understand how that can change someone... forever! I hope they're Christians. God is "able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or even think". In Him, there is hope! I know in my own life, the difficulties I deal with, I have to choice to to seek Him.

I really hope that didn't sound like platitudes. It's just that I have personally experienced true miracles in my life. And I cling to past miracles, and futures ones. It's all I can do.
