We still have functioning Drive In that shows current movies, it really is alot of fun, the sound comes through your car stereo, don't have to worry about driving off and breaking your window, I remember as a kid, going to the Drive In with my family dressed in PJ's, great days....

Wow, what a full summer schedule of activities!   It is nice for the younger generations to experience the "Drive-In" movies like we used to.  I haven't seen a drive-in theater in many years.

Gerry..I think that one may still be functioning around 8Mile Rd--need to check on that. Oh, Yeah, do remember the speakers hanging on the glass part of driver's side window.  We had a drive-in near us; it was West of I-94 near North River Road--Mt. Clemens area; you could see the movie from the X-Way so you can  imagine some near misses on that roadway.  We did take our son there shortly after we adopted him. All 3 of us fell asleep :)

Carra...You know until you mentioned that fact, I had not really  thought about "a full schedule"; it seems that these 2 Counties of Macomb & Oakland DO try to make their respective residents happy.  Pretty Neat! The only change in these 'drive-in' movies is that most are not viewed from your car, instead you bring blankets, pillows, etc and spread out in the area.  At least this way, the kiddies & the old-ers get the movie AND fresh air. LOL
