Realtors's Leverage:  What does it mean?  Are we using it? 

First, let's look at what leverage mean?  Leverage is  

·         A strategic advantage;

·         A power to act effectively;

·         Having a greater ability to influence the other side.

·         A Positional advantage

·         The quality of having a superior or more favorable position; Example: "the experience gave him the advantage

·         It means: to improve or enhance; the influence, authority, rank, clout, force, hold, pull, strength, grip; grasp.

To use leverage as a Real Estate Professional, I believe we must establish a powerful on-line presence.  It  is essential for a Champion Real estate professional. 

After years of doing it one way, we must admit the Internet is steadily growing into the world's largest real estate resource, with thousands of pages of listings, community information, photographs and multimedia tours. The Internet must be utilized if a real estate group wants to succeed in today's market. 

 Again, activating an aggressive on-line presence is establishing a Realtor's Leverage. 

First, start with our own website. (doesn't have to be first-but be committed to do something)

Second, setting up as many free social networking sites as possible.  Join the social website family.

There are many others.  Become active in doing the research.  But keep in mind, as a Real Estate professional, we must be committed to: 

  1. Striving to have the greater ability to influence
  2. Improving and enhancing authority, rank, clout, force,  and the power to be effective.
  3. Setting up a stategic advantage by distributing accurate Real Estate information, education and training to colleagues/clients/community
  4. Working hard to have an ethical, superior, and more favorable position to be successful as a Real Estate Professional
  5. Be committed to providing a proactive approach to a powerful online presence while the Real Estate market struggles for a complete comeback

A strong online presence is almost a must have in today's market. No excuses for not having funds, there are numerous ways to advertise online that are free and still effective. Well said McGriffin
