Customer service ain't dead! I was out and about today, performing various duties, when I decided to stop and have lunch at the Cafe Nordstrom. It was a nice, sunny, Southern California afternoon. Since we were experiencing a slight breeze, I decided to sit out on the patio. In a couple of weeks, it will be too hot and stifling to do so. I was reminded why Nordstrom has such a high reputation for customer service. The wait staff made sure to check on me every few minutes to make sure I was OK and check to see if I needed anything. Before I even got to the bottom of my glass, the waiter was out there with a carafe of what I was drinking (no, it wasn't wine or any alcohol) to fill my drink back to the rim. And, when I was ready to leave, he promptly brought a "to-go" box to wrap up what was left and sent me on my way with a "to-go" cup of the beverage I had been drinking. It was wonderful. This is why Nordstrom has such a loyal customer base. They understand that people are willing to patronize an establishment time and again when they are treated well. It's a good thing to keep in mind when you are dealing with your customers as well. Customer service ain't dead! You just have to know where to shop!
