This Real Estate Virtual Assistant Says, "Feature Smeature!"
Seriously...seems like all we've heard all day(or yesterday...I guess now) since Brad announced the new "Suggest" button is about how all the same people get Features all the time...same faces showing up over and over...it's pretty infantile! (and I totally admit to feeling the same infantile feelings just yesterday ;-)
Not today! Today, I have evolved! This Real Estate Virtual Assistant sees the value of her time and effort and doesn't need to be "acknowledged" by the Feature board... OH - no...I am not some higher being of authenticity...I've just found someplace I would like to be acknowledged better...two actually...ok...4! LOL
The first place is my statistic page in AR! You can laugh if you want to, but this page tells me how many people have viewed my profile and it gives me an "at a glance" view of how many people have Commented On, Viewed and Clicked Thru all my individual blog posts!!! I love to see the numbers keep clicking up, even on older posts...I just had a post last week, that was several months old, suddenly get new life and several new comments...seemingly out of the blue...all it took was one reader stumbling on it in the rain and commenting to revive it.
The second, and third, and fourth places that I like to be acknowledged are Google, Yahoo and Bing!!! As I mention in my previous post tonight,
Real Estate Virtual Assistant Series "Drowning Out Complacency" - Part Three - The After Party!, I received some happy improvements in my Google Ranking for the search term "Real Estate Virtual Assistant" on Google today based on effort I put in after attending one of Brad's webinars. While my rankings are about a page down on Yahoo and Bing...I am still proud of the traffic and inquiries that these rankings generate. So, "Feature Smeature!" - you can keep your Featured blog posts...I have had 4 of them, and been honored to do so, but if I never get another one featured, I will still continue to plug away here on Active Rain, writing quality content for my target audience and learning new tips, tricks and techniques almost daily at ARU as well as by reading everyone else's blog posts! Why? Because I have seen the results!
