William...who could not find things to do in Sarasota or anywhere in FL; we are planning a move there, hopefully soon--Home to sell here first.
Actually, we don't DO any of the things listed anymore. never did go Camping & did not have the Career offerings when our son was that age-would like to believe that he would have liked that type of school. The "other" school experiences NOT so much. Thanks for stopping by. Have a good rest of the week.

Barb and Sal - It looks like ther is pleanty todo for everyone this summer ..... william has a good idea there with daytrips or perhaps staycations.
ps congrats on the 100,000 glad I could play a part in your sucess.
There are great things to do here. It's packed into the "90" days of summer. Enjoy!!!
Barb and Sal.....Wow - that is a jam packed summer of things to do for sure! Have a great time!

Kathy...Yes, that was a nice surprise & I, too am happy that it came on your site. There are a lot of things to do around Michigan; some are the usual & some are a result of our different municipalities and businesses are offering events for families that are cost effective. A great help in Michigan's economy.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a good weekend.

Robert...You are in or near Grand Rapids, and I did read that some great things are happening up your way. We were there when in Amway and the area is very interesting as well as easily traveled. We took the time to take a Bus tour around the hotel to see interest points and it was a fun trip. Maybe some day we will go back there and possibly Traverse City. Feel free to put some of your items on here as a comment or let us know IF you are posting 'things to do' on your own web site.
Thanks for stopping by and letting others know about your area, perhaps others will do some research.
Have a good weekend.

Carra...You are so right, for those who "do" family short trips, Michigan does have some fun things to offer. As a child we went somewhere in Michigan every summer; before XWays; how my parents lived through the "Are we there Yet?" or "We only see trees, when will we get there?"--for the actual number of years I will never understand. AND, we as kids, did not appreciate the time they spent in the planning, driving, & the exhaustion that was involved. Too late, I get smart! Thanks for the comment & hoping that your weekend is great.

I also like to tell our new folks about the thousands of things to do within 100 miles- no need to fly when you live in paradise! Thanks for the post, sounds like you will be busy this summer!
