New Orleans is a great historic city that has been challenged over the past several years with many community and social issues. Following the catastrophy of Hurricane Katrina many wondered if recovery was a possibility. The people of New Orleans have answered these questions with a resiliance that while is not unique is indicative of New Orleans and the surrounding region. While the recovery process is ongoing, it is clear to see that New Orleans is on the right road.
It is clear that in order to rebuild our community and make it better than before and better than it has ever been, we need to establish more homeownership in the effected communities. In other words we need new homeowners to purchase and/or renovate home in our communities.
It is also clear that many potential homebuyers need help getting in the right position to attain the properties which are in need of owners.
