In Port Moody, "it's always tea-time"...

Mick Jagger sings, “I got nasty habits; I take tea at three”.

Following the 19th century Regency era of nobility extravagance and pomp, afternoon tea became a tradition that was started for networking and keeping up to date with aristocratic gossip and topical news.

In contrast, many tea lovers today partake of a special brew for a calming interlude in a busy schedule, and at the same time enjoy the health benefits it offers.

Different tea blends require the brewing to be at specific optimum temperatures for best results.

So where do you start for that perfect cup of tea?

To ensure that you receive a cup at its absolute peak you’ll need the expert advice of Port Moody’s tea sommelier, Nancy Prokosh at Tealicious Tea Company.

While you’re visiting Nancy be sure to start exploring some of the exotic teas from every continent, like the Egyptian Flowery Camomile I brought home, one of almost 100 varieties available.

...almost 100 varities available

While I was enjoying my cup of black Assam tea from India, Lily, a customer of 8 years came into the shop to make a bulk purchase of her favourite Pear and Apple Tulsi tea.

Henry and Lon of Coquitlam come by regularly for their favourite, China’s Imperial Dragon tea, and at 90 and 88 respectively, there’s obviously something medicinal in this tea.

There are several scrumptious set teas to choose from and the Bill of Fare caters to a wide range of events that include: Birthday’s, Engagement’s, Shower’s and even just tea out with friends. The shops character, as a heritage registered building, lends itself to all occasions.

You need to experience for yourself the Tealicious Tea Company at 2224 Clarke St, Port Moody.

You can visit www.tealiciousteacompany.com to learn more, or phone Nancy at 778-355-1832.

Yes, that's it,” said the Hatter with a sigh: “it's always tea-time” - Lewis Carroll - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

John, this is a great localism post!  I am more of a coffee drinker in the morning, but I do tend to partake of some herbal tee later in the evening and when I am sick.  I like the spiced orange or lemon herbal tea.

Very nice post for the Tealicious Tea Company in Port Moody!

ps- Great job with the Tsar's Cannon!  Have you been to Moscow?

I've yet to have a tea that I haven't enjoyed and Nancy is such a delightful person.

Don't I wish Bruce; going into the Kremlin Walls would be something else (for that matter, anywhere in Russia).

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment Bruce.
