Hopefully some interesting info for about about a forward thinking model. Although it appears like shameless self-promotion, which of course it is, it is being described to you here in an open-source, free for others to use manner.

Dream Realty has a brokerage model that is kind of a combination of a Charles Ruttenberg low fees broker with a leads-generating
technologically advanced Listing Book™ type website showcasing the patent pending beBY™ real estate search engine. 
 
There is no brokerage office, though the broker is very responsive to the Agents.  "Working with Shel is really a pleasure.  He always makes himself very accessible, providing great insight.  And, when it comes to technology, he is very sharp."

Each Agent and the Broker work out of their home, or wherever.  
The brokerage is also totally paperless and  donates 3% of revenues to charitable causes.   

Dream Realty charges only $50 per month and $250 per closing.   In addition, we provide an awesome lead-generating web site with one of our Agent's picture and profile on the home page.  They appear at random.  

Any user that signs up is assigned to the profiled Agent with zero referral fee.  Our sites attract many international buyers.  In the last year, they have constituted 40% of our sales.

If an Agent wants to ensure they are on the home page, like in a link for an ad or in their signature, they can replace www.DreamRealty.com with TheirName.DreamRealty.com.  Both sites will look the same, except the latter is guaranteed to display the Agent who's name is the web address.

Other cool Dream Realty features:

    1. beBY™ search engine.  Users enter where they want to "be by" and within what distance.   They can enter an address, a neighborhood, city, zipcode, MLS# or point of interest - like "I want to be within 10 miles of Tampa Airport."

Thanks.  Actually, it is about 50/50.  The concept obviously doesn't appeal to everyone.  But, it appealed to us, so we figured it would appeal to others.  

To me, it has a lot to do with freedom and independence.  I think there are a large number of Agents that may value that more now than they did when they started out.

As a smaller brokerage with a very high tech background, we can update our site and make changes faster than the more traditional brokers.  We are always working to stay ahead of the tech curve.

I was the founder of one of the original internet billing companies in 1995.  Also developed a system that automated one of COMPUSA's service centers.

So much freedom can be achieved through technology.
