Waipio Gentry is centrally located on the island of Oahu and has about 3363 units that are mainly single family dwellings and townhomes. There are a couple of business areas and we are located 5 minutes south of Mililani and 5 minutes north of Pearl City.
The picture to the left is the walking jogging path located at the edge of our complex and it extends over a mile and leads down to the shopping center.
The colorful tree lined street to the right is Waipio Uka Street and is one of the main streets in Waipio Gentry that will take me to the Waipio Shopping Center or a block down I'll take a left and head to Costco!
I was running errands and my first stop was Harbor Center to drop off documents at a local Real Estate office in Waimalu. (Post Office would say Aiea).
The view to the left is right outside the office where I parked my car and looking out at Pearl Harbor. What a life! Work as a real estate agent in Hawaiii and have this view right outside your office!
Picture to the right is the Aloha Stadium: Home of the Pro Bowl which seats 50,000. I had to take this picture out the passenger window so it wasn't a clear shot. I had to go to another agent's office at the Stadium Mall to return a lockbox from last weeks' closing.
On Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays we have the HUGE swap meet at the Aloha Stadium. Our rows and rows of over 700 vendors, crafters and artists from all over the world showcase exotic imports, handcrafts, and unique art pieces, jewelry, souvenirs, clothes and anything and everything you can think of.
The picture to the left (courtesy of Aloha Stadium) shows only a mere portion of the vendors! The vendors go all the way around the Aloha Stadium and have more rows besides!
I then headed up Kaonohi Street (above Pearlridge Shopping Center) and headed to my former place of residence at the very top of this ridge.
The picture to the right is the sign for the Pearl Country Club. On my way back down I found a good spot to take a picture of the golf course from above only to find out my batteries had run out! (Not prepared. Left my case at home with the spare batteries.)
On the way back down Kaonohi Street I took these following pictures of the view from up on the ridge down to Pearl Harbor. The homes to the left are sitting on the side of the ridge on a cliff.
Another view to the right of Pearl Harbor at a higher elevation.
Oops..hubbie called. "I thought you said you were bringing lunch?" I'll be right there honey! (took me another half hour to get there)
And that's the way it was....this August 7th, 2007 mid day errand trip to Waimalu, Aiea, near the Aloha Stadium, Pearlridge, Pearl City and back home to Waipio Gentry!
