Beyond the Beaches of Gulf Shores

When you hear Gulf Shores, Alabama, you think of white sandy beaches, beautiful blue skies and emerald green water. All of this is so true, but there is even more behind the beauty and beyond the beaches of Gulf Shores. The list of activities in the surrounding Gulf Shores area is full of endless fun with Alligator Alley and the Biophilia Nature Center, Mobile Bay Ferry, Dauphin Island Sea Lab, and much more.

If you are a history buff, take a trip back in time with Baldwin County's rich history that dates back to 1809, located at the Baldwin County Heritage Museum in Elberta. You will find buildings that resemble turn-of-the-century barns, as well as a working windmill and several outdoor agricultural exhibits.

To the north lies Historic Blakeley State Park in Spanish Fort. You will find nearly 11 miles of amazing hiking and bike trails and a boardwalk next to the Tensaw River, and visitors will be able to fully explore the site of the Civil War's last major battle. Don’t forget to stop by Fort Mims Historic Site in Stockton, where Creek Indians killed over 500 pioneer settlers.

If you are a bargain shopper, be sure to go north on Highway 59 to the Tanger Outlet Center in Foley. There is something for everyone at the Tanger Outlet with 120 brand-name factory stores. Eastern Shore Centre in Spanish Fort, with its dancing water fountain, is another great place for shopping with 70 stores (including Williams & Sonoma, American Eagle, Victoria's Secret and Pottery Barn) and several popular restaurants.

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have survived hurricanes and still flourished, so I am sure the oil spill will not stop us either. It is encouraging that life still goes on with great things like The Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival.

Fill your life with sunshine and sandy white beaches with gentle gulf shore breezes as you walk along miles of amazing coastline. Get your bags packed and head to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach.  Find out what the excitement is all about. I have the best resources to help you get such amazing rates for a lovely beach-front condo that you will find it hard to say no.

Whether you are looking for a beach home for your primary residence now or in retirement, investment property, vacation home or second home, I can help you find the perfect real estate in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. Don’t waste any more time, let's get started today! Contact Lance Steffek at (251) 981-2225.
