New to blogging

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Achievers

Hello!

I must admit that I am very new to blogging.  Have heard and read a lot about it and have finally decided to give it a try.  I have a very special real estate niche.......a large majority of my clients are Deaf.  I taught Deaf children for 10 years before staying home with my own children for a couple of years.  I am happy to be able to provide a much needed service to the Deaf community and so grateful to them for accepting me and helping to promote my business.  I love being able to explain the home buying and selling process in sign language for my clients.  Many of my clients are much more than clients.  They are also my friends.

I do not serve only the Deaf community.  I work with hearing clients as well.  Again (probably the former teacher in me) I enjoy explaining the home buying and selling process and making sure that my clients understand what is happening and what will be happening next.

Look forward to seeing how this blogging works and hearing from you.

Blogging is a pretty neat thing.  I find that I can get all sorts of advice and info.  Welcome to the club.  Thanks for the post and keep at it.  Beware that it can become addicting.

I think I'm sending a response back to you.  Hope I'm doing it right.  Thank you so much for your encouragement.  I've had several clients from the Md. area.  Just keeping me in mind if you come across someone looking to make the move to the Phoenix, AZ area.  I'll definitely keep you in mind for anyone looking to move East.

Ronni, first WELCOME to AR and the blogging world! I look forward to reading more. Secondly, I truly commend you for your niche market. The deaf have a special place in my heart, as two of my daughters closest friends are deaf and she learned at a very young age to communicate with them. It's so touching to see one of your children have such a heart to help and love others and overcome whatever obstacles necessary to communicate with and be there for them. Keep up the great worth, because you're right, those folks do need someone who can look out for them and clearly communicate with them. Awesome stuff!

Hi! Welcome to the site. I recommend that you read, read, read and then comment, comment, comment. There are so many different blogs to read. There are tons of topics out there from real estate, marketing, technology, seo, staging, mortgage, etc. It goes on and on. Find topics you like (in the groups) follow those for a little while, start to find certain writers you like. Comment on their posts. You'll start to get to know people and before you know it... you'll have figured out the benefits of the site. Also reciprocate your comments. Consider posting blogs with content for consumers. Those are included on localism.com. So you could write about your area or about things you know in real estate or related etc. Also check out Resources for the Active Rain Newbie.

Good luck!
