The Staging of a Marriage Proposal

 Wedding Cake

Some time ago when I was but a wee lass starting to blog on Active Rain - I wrote a blog about a  young couple that had gotten engaged on our  frozen Beaver Pond in the Minnesota winter.  Like all things that I am involved with - it was a bit over the top and if I may say so , just perfect (except for the flip flops in the snow).

Well the happy couple again in flip flops said their vows and pledged their troth (what is that anyway?) last Saturday.  Because of a schedule change, I was stuck in my booth at the Crow Wing County Fair and missed the big event.  My daughters Allison (the maid of honor) and Ashley (maid in waiting - otherwise  known as bridal attendant) planned most of the event, they now know how to stage  almost anything!

The happy new couple will be youth pastors in Pennsylvania - having graduated from Fort Myers Master's Commission in Florida.

Kathleen,

Great job for the girls!  Looks like a very happy celebration...love the tent scene, the big smiles, and the flip flops...  ;)

Kathleen, I'm sorry you missed the big event.  Does cucumber racing and eating all that junk food even compare?  Seriously though, the staging looks great.  Love the tent and like Lisa - I love the flip flops too.  Betty

It looks great. If the bride and groom were happy then that is all that matters. I spent $1000 on my wedding back in 97. That included the cost of my dress. My brother is getting married and it's already cost me $600 for the bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses for myself and my daughters that will be in the wedding. I told him that when all is said and done I will have spent more on HIS wedding than I did my own. I was happy with my wedding though and it wasn't very stressful. To me that is what was important.

The  difference in planning a wedding and staging a home is that with a wedding you need to listen to what the couple wants and in staging a home you are usually having to persuade a couple that what they wanted for their home is no longer important....it's what the prospective buyers will want that is important. That is not always an easy thing to do when emotions are involved as you well know I am sure.

I need to read something first. Only after that I can find write a speech. It is really important for any writer, I would say. For example, you can’t write even a birthday wish without appropriate mood. Don’t you agree? And this is why I like the https://www.weddingforward.com/maid-of-honor-speech/. Just try to follow the link and see how incredible it could be. Every wedding resource should be like that one. Very inspiring! I recommend everyone who needs some inspiration use that service.
