Speechless Sundays - Royal Poincianas and a White Picket Fence in Cocoa Beach

By
Real Estate Agent with Oikos Realty, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach Florida

Royal Poinciana trees are blooming in Florida right now. This tree is in the front yard of a beachside rental home in Cocoa Beach and I just had to stop my bike ride to take this colorful photo. The afternoon thunderstorms had just rolled through and that's why there are petals on the ground. Typically a 2/2 similar to this would rent for about $1000 per month with a one year lease. The beach is less than 900' away.

Hi John ~ This photo took my breath away. What a beautiful tree! And the carpet of red petals is the icing on the cake.

John - I've never seen a Royal Poinciana tree before.  It is quite colourful.  I looked to see if you could send me one but it doesn't seem that it would be too happy in Toronto.  Wikipedia has a detailed article about this tree species at

John,

Nice touch with the fence. Our poincianas were fuller this year than in recent years. :)

Tony and Darcy - It's a cute house in a great location.

Liz - I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Marc - I don't think they would do to well in the cold white north. Great article.

Rich - You old dog! Your gratuitous bikini shot is below.

Steve - Yes I agree, they seem to be a lot fuller and vibrant.

Lisa - Maybe no one planted any in Daytona!?
