You can blog about Short Sales, the forms, the process, the length of time it takes, what it can do for a person’s credit. Home sales in your area is always a good blog and useful to your clients and prospects. The changing landscape of the lenders and how new systems put in place by the changing landscape are causing issues that can slow the process down. Nothing is as it was, nor will it ever be it seems. This is neither bad or good, it is what it is and it is our job to hold on, understand and communicate those changes to our clients and prospects. You can blog about special events about to happen in your area. You can blog about special people from your area who are doing extraordinary things in their communities. For instance I have an REO in a neighborhood that I was unfamiliar with. As I have begun to market this property and spend time in the neighborhood I have found they have an incredible HOA (Home Owners Association). This HOA has taken it upon itself to help the many seniors in the community with errands and taking out heavy trash. These are neighbors who truly are showing they care about their neighbors. Sometime soon I will shoot a Best of Big D interview with the person who has set up this program and see how it is working for them.
You can blog about lawns and gardens, house repairs, simple fixes for commonly broken items in the home. You may think that this kind of information is not interesting or valuable but it is. Once you have a number of blogs you can refer your clients and prospects back to the blog when a conversation includes one of these subjects. You build your own database of interesting information about you and your community. Believe me people love this kind of material. They search for it and when they do it could be your site they come to to read about it.
The benefits are enormous as you continue to add content. More people find you, more people ask you questions and engage with your content, more referrals come to you because you show up higher in the searches for specific terms. Surely something happened to you this week you can write about. Let me know.
