USAA and USAA MOVERS ADVANTAGE
USAAis one neat company. They have saved my clients thousands in insurance and other related expenses. They always seem to be looking out for their client's best interest. While many people complain about their insurance companies, I always seem to hear glowing reports about USAA. In my previous career I interacted with some of the top brass at USAA and found them to be nothing but humble people, easy to work with, and always-always-always looking out for their clients best interest. As you well know this is not always the case with the top guns at other insurance companies who seem to want to nickle and dime their customers any way they can by denying or delaying claims. By the way I am a member of USAA.
One of the neatest programs I have found with them is the USAA Mover's Advantage program that can save you money when you move if you are buying or selling a home. CASH BONUSESare available to both active duty military families PCSing as well as anyone else who is a member of USAA. The basic premise of the program is a network of realtors willing to take a reduced commission on the purchase or sale of your home. It is not available in every state due to some legal restrictions.

BIG BONUS FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS- If you are moving to the DFW Dallas Fort Worth area, call me first at 1-800-385-9355, before you call Mover's Advantage. We can save active duty military or any other USAA member using USAA financing even more money than using the Mover's Advantage program. Basically we cut out the middleman and pass the savings on to you. We appreciate your service to our country and will do everything we can to get the best real estate deal, best insurance rates, movers, and best loan program available to you. If you are not moving to or from the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex area we can still help you get connected to a great realtor within the program or if none available outside the program. We'll get you connected with a TOP agent who will provide you excellent service and if for any reason you are not happy with your assigned agent, we'll help you get a new one. One of the best advantages we offer the clients who work directly with us is the ability to get the BONUS at closing. Working through the normal program the bonus is sent a couple of weeks after closing. Using our direct program you can often come to closing with less cash out of pocket.
LEASES - Unfortunately discounts on leases are not covered under the program, but we can still help you with leases. Even if you are not on active duty we can still assist you with leases.
VA and TEXAS VETERANS
VA loans- For some reason lots of loan officers and real estate agents try to talk buyers out of using their VA loan eligibility. We will help you evaluate that and any other loan options available to you. Rarely have I found that VA loans were not the way to go. It is still one of the few programs that allows 100% financing for eligible buyers. We find this is often a great way to save your cash resources. If someone is trying to talk you out of using your VA or Texas Veterans loan, get a second opinion from a disinterested party. It is possible there are better programs around, but rarely do I find this the case.
VA foreclosures - We've found these are not always the best deals for families who need to move quickly and need to focus on their careers as they are often not in the best condition. However, if you are handy around the house, like a project, or have dreamed of remodeling a house, this might be a great option for you. We'll walk you through the entire purchase process start to finish. Purchasing these homes is often a lot more work for us, and many agents will try to talk you out of purchasing a VA or other foreclosure, but if that is what works best for you and your family, we are there for you.
Q: Does USAA have an in-house program or is it contracted out to a corporate relocation company.
A: The program does use a corporate relocation company (currently CARTUS) to provide a nationwide network of agents.
Q: Will this program also work if trying to do a short sale?
A: Most likely not. It will depend on what we can negotiate with your lender.
Q:Will USAA help find rental properties at my new location.
A: The program can help you find a realtor who will help you with leases, but there is likely no cash rebates with leases.
Q: Can I use this program if I am selling my home and buying another one in the same area?
Q:Can I buy a USAA foreclosure using this program?
A: The basic answer is YES, but we see very few USAA foreclosures.
