I got a new Icon for my Profile. . . Special for Attending Raincamp

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Professionals, CT 203-206-0754 REB.0759001

I noticed this morning that there was a new icon that appeared below my profile photo when I posted a comment. As I scrolled over to it, it indicated that I had attended RainCamp. It was odd that it just appeared now because I had attended Rain Camp in New York City, back in January.

As I started to read other posts and noticed other profile photos, something peculiar stopped me. When I saw William Walton's profile, he aslo had the new icon, but he hadn't gone to Raincamp New York, but I know he is going to Raincamp Washington, DC.

And that's when the reality set in. I'm going to RainCamp in Washington DC!!

I had to wait before I could make the commitment because of some closings that I was hoping would happen this week, but they have been delayed, go figure so unusual.

And almost simultaneously, I got my last chance email from ActiveRain letting me know that time's-a-wastin'. I probably got one of the last tickets, probably in the nose bleed sections, with an obstructed view. No, No, that's Fenway Park.

It doesn't matter where I sit, the information will flow loud and clear, and anybody that's heard Bob Stewart with a mike knows that to be true. He must LOVE Karoke!

So later today, I'm off. Last minute, I'll end up sleeping at my sister-in-law's house in Virginia.

But I'm going to schmooze and cruise and get some 'larnin' the ActiveRain way at RainCamp Washington DC.

Boy do I regret not buying the Platinum pass back in January because I could have had a front row seat right next to Lenn, and been close enough to see Brad Andersohn sweat with nerves (he doesn't like public speaking)

Ed...   I can see that you are in a hurry to get to RainCamp in DC.  Having children (under 15 years of age) makes it hard to be spontaneous.  Have a great time.. hoping they have a RainCamp up north.. like in Mass or NH.. I'll do that one and find someone to watch the children.  BTW, I can tell you are in a rush, WHY?  You forgot  the "A" in Attending is missing from your title.

No Ed, you and Lenn will probably be right next to each other. She just got her ticket when, last week? I asked her by e-mail if she was going, and she told me no...but then two days latter, she had that icon, too...surprised me, really, but glad that she'll be there.

I suppose I was fortunate to get my ticket early enough. So I guess I'll be rooming with my sister, eh? I was looking forward to the trip ;-)

Yay, can't wait to meet another Activerain friend!  I'll be the grandmother type with glasses (you're not used to seeing them in my profile photo, so they may confuse you)... and my beautiful daughter at my side.  (Any single guys going to be there?  This is your one and only chance to meet her...  LOL - and don't anyone dare mention I said that!)  LOL.

Pat, it was a great day meeting so many of the 'stars' in person, yourself included. And I only wish my sponge was capable of absorbing every thing they gave us.
