Oddly Enough!

I got a call from my last listing appointment and will go there this afternoon with the listing paperwork and take the pictures, etc.  Evidently, they did some investigation and came to the same conclusion I did!  I feel so validated!  I do know listing appointments are no fun around this part of the country.  I wonder what they are like in the big city!  Sometimes, I wonder about RE in a large metro area- what an entirely different ball game- lol!

Sometimes its best to say no to a listing if it isn't a good fit for your business or if they have totally unrealistic expectations about what it will sell for.

Randy...I am in a rural area also. I end up working in the larger city at times and I don't care for it.  It is very different from the open spaces!

Randy, it is different!  Located where I am.....I have listings in the city and then some that are out in the boondocks.

Your puppy is awful cute!

Did a blog a while back on the different approaches depending on the marketing. If you are a city dweller, your list of what is important is different than Joe Rural buyer who may look for an entirely different set of features. In small town you don't hire stagers..the price for the home is $40, $50K and there is nothing wrong with it.

Betty and John, yes, I've had to say no to several listings.  Sadly, I've seen them later in foreclosure (which might have been avoided if they'd taken my professional advice).  Thanks.

William, hello and thanks!  I hunt up there in N. MN- it is truly wide open!

Thanks, Ann! Every once in a while, I get the urge to go to the big city (Atlanta) and work with some friends up there.  But, then I take a nap, or go play with the puppies until the urge passes!

Yeah, Andrew, a big house around here is $250,000, an average house is $130,000 and I sell a lot for under $100,000.  It is different..
