Why would you not post as many images of your listed property as possible?!

I've been noticing a growing trend lately at least in the Indianapolis, Fishers, Carmel, Geist, Westfield, Zionsville, Noblesville, and Lawrence...etc. areas with Agents posting new listings on our MLS system (BLC) concerning lack of pictures.  Why is this?  Listings that have 5 or less pictures get 300% less views and activity.  Some may argue if the property is not in great shape that they just take an exterior shot from the street and call it a day in order to not scare people away.  To me this seems a lost cause considering that its likely going to cause more people to assume that the place is a dump and not give it a chance. 

Perhaps it's just me, but it seems a bit irresponsible and rude.  Rude?!  Yes, rude on both the buyer and seller side.  For buyers it can waste a lot of time driving all over the city looking at places that look pretty good from the outside, but awful on the inside.  IF a buyer doesn't want to buy a fixer upper baiting them into a dump by not providing amble information isn't going to magically make them change their mind.  FHA 203k loans are great and some people like the idea, but either way some pictures ahead of time would be better than not.

On the listing end it seems like if you want your property marketed to its fullest it seems you'd want to have maximum exposure.  Personally, if I had my house listed online, in the paper, or wherever and saw that my agent only put 4 or less pics up I'd be furious, and starting to have second thoughts about my agent's motivation to sell my place.

Maybe I'm missing something and totally off base, but statistically more images of a property whether its immaculate or not gains more attention and that's the bottom line.  Load your listings up!!!

Oh our MLS filled with REO and short sales would drive you bonkers!  I believe in giving sellers the maximum exposure - distressed or not!
