Scott,  No clue what kind of flower ... I am not much into that ... I do know that it is absolutely beautiful ... and that is all that matters to me :-)))  Great photo of a beautiful flower.

I could be wrong as to what grows in your part of the states but the purple and the roll of the leaves says Iris.

I agree it appears to be an iris though they typically bloom around Easter.  If it is blooming now I maight would think it were a canna.   Enjoy them, they are beautiful!
