As Florida Governor Charlie Crist Removes the Pro-Life Section of his Campaign Web Site, many are asking if he is finally showing his true left wing credentials. I don’t think so. I don’t think the Governor is left or right; RINO or Reaganite. Crist is simply about power and all that brings to him in terms of his own ego and prestige.

The Governor will certainly use the VETO pen again this week to get rid of a Florida law which would make it mandatory for pregnant women to get an ultra sound in the first trimester, before they would be allowed an abortion. This too is about power.

Simon - how is vetoing the bill that would force women to pay an average of $1,500 for an ultrasound for god knows what reason prior to be able to have a procedure that last I checked was still LEGAL in this country about power? Unless your contention is that abortion for the rich and rich only is somehow ok...

Inna - everything this guy does is about power. If he thought he could have won the GOP nomination he would never have vetoed the Bill. For the record, i think the Bill is a terrible piece of law. It removes freedom and enforces a Mandate.....hmmm... exactly like Obamacare and unlike some on the right, I don't change my mind based on who happens to be pushing for something. Mandates are wrong. period.

Simon- I never had liked Crist. My intuition from the get go told me he is a fake, phony and ALL about himself. Yes, he is about power and my hope is that people will see through his phoniness. This bill should have been broken up into parts. Opposing the national health care bill and taxpayer funded aborations was good. Forcing pregnant women to get an expensive ultrasound was bad. We need less government intrusion, not more.
