It's Time!

Is today's real estate market not different than last year?  Is it me or has everyone felt the difference? Last year we were staging homes for cutting edge investors and agents, who were asking $40,000+ over asking price.

This year - we're staging homes to give buyers a memorable impression.

We're staging homes so sellers can justify asking top dollar...and yet - every week, I run into at least 2 or 3 home sellers - who don't want to do anything to prepare their home for sale.  "My neighbor sold their house last August for over-the-top asking and my house is no different!" - No perhaps your house is not any different, but I can tell you the market is

Home sellers must be educated on the need to properly prepare their property for sale.  They must be told that it must be cleaned, clutter free, smelling good and without vicious, guard dogs who greet buyers at the door.  Buyers are taking their time looking for a new home and sometimes they'relooking at 20 or more homes.

Home sellers - ask yourself, "Am I doing everything I can to invite the buyer to mentally move-in?" ....  Call a home stager and ask them to visit your property to provide you with a written report of how your home compares with the 100 other homes in your community.  I'm sure you'd be surprised at the results!

Hi Callie

Not only is the market different, realtors are clueless about the benefits of staging and I think they know they are listing homes way too high. We are definitely in a very different market and what I do not understand is why realtors list so high to begin with and then poo poo the idea of hiring a stager.
