I decided to spend my day in Washington DC at the RainCamp at the Kellog Convention Center. The program has really been interesting but I am starting to feel "information overload" and we are only on our lunch break!!
We have a very good turn out for the event, so good infact that they had to bring in extra seating to pe placed along the walls.
I thought I had an extensive knowledge concerning the usage of the internet for my real estate business, but this program is showing me that I have a whole lot more to learn. Guess that is what prompted me to attend to begin with. I think that with any program such as this, that if I come home with one bit of information or an "ahh haa" moment... then it will have been well worth while usage of my time. Well I can tell you that this will have been GREAT usage of my time today.
Tonight, I will have to spend some time trying out some of the things I have learned, checking out the different useful sights and further checking the different programs etc... that have been talked about to see how I can use them to better serve my clients.
I would say to anyone who hasn't been to a RainCamp put on by Active Rain, you need to attend the next one in your area. For that matter if you have to travel a ways... go for it! (We have people in this class from all over who decided it would be worth the drive/flight to get here.
Only negative I saw was the morning traffic... put me behind about 45 minutes, but fortunately I had given myself a little over an hour of extra time in my planning... so I made it here ok.
Hope to see you all at the next event. For those who I met qt thiw event, it has really been a pleasure.
