Livermore’s Western Heritage is alive and well as the 92nd Annual Rodeo kicks off this Saturday, June 12th, 2010 with the Livermore Rotary Parade. Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. down the center of Second Street.
In keeping with the theme, many downtown shops have decked their windows with western décor. If you want to find something special for the big weekend, be sure to visit Baughmann’s for the latest in Western attire, sure to please the pickiest cowboy or cowgirl.
The 2-day event is held at Robertson Park. where visitors are always entertained by popular events such as Bareback Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Barrel Racing and let’s not forget Wild Cow Milking. The extreme event in terms of rodeos is of course, Bull Riding! (On a personal note, were we surprised to learn our 23 year old son has been participating in this activity while on active duty at Ft. Bliss, Texas. And here we thought he was just doing missions and maneuvers).
And this year, you’re in for a special treat when the Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls bring their crowd-pleasing riding and roping tricks to the event. Don’t miss the fun – buy your tickets now!
