Thanks all! The truck only cost me $2500 and a good friend of mine charged me less than $1,000 to do the vinyl lettering and the paint job, I can highly reccomend him to anyone, he lives in Cape Coral and is great at what he does.

hahaha...I think it's a great idea. I would just park it in random spots and not lend it out. With gas prices and the insurance, I'd be over people borrowing it. It's like a prepaid lifetime billboard :)

Truck looks great!  I assume you are loaning it out to customers? How much is your liability insurance for the truck?  I would think it would be pretty expensive.  Do you ask to see a driver's license or proof of insurance before you loan it out?

Denny Grimes in my area does it, I do not think I will offer it to much, but just drive it to events or just park it in good areas

Nice Ray....I have left my truck at my office on College Pkwy before & got a few leads from it. I mostly use mine for branding but yours is fairly to the point & should generate good 'call to action'.

That's the key - results.  I hope you're going to track this as a "source" and will be able to quantify the ROI.  I haven't been able to track down any other metrics on this approach to advertising.

Ray, great post. I am looking to do the same thing. What is your cost basis for the uhaul. I agree I will just place the truck in various location and events.
