Malaga Washington

A small attractive community just south of Wenatchee is Malaga. Malaga will one day be discovered. It has great rural feel, large lots (many on or around Three Lakes), a municipal golf course and irrigation water.

Originally a FHA subsidized community, it has now grown into its own. Houses in the area run the gamit of prices from low $100K to $700 or higher. Currently there are about 24 houses on the market with a median price of $195K. In the current market home sales in Malaga have slowed to around only one per month. However if you are house hunting and pick the Malaga area you may be surprised at what you can get. Plus buying a house in malaga you may be able to use one of two programs through the FmHA allowing for zero down and many times interest rates (not APR) of as low as 1%.

There are a couple pretty good subdivisions in malaga too. One Apricot Hill, has great views rolling hills and large lots with plenty of room and opportunity to design your dream home around the local views. In the near future there will be a second addition to this area making more lots available.

So if you are thinking of buying a home in Wenatchee you may want to consider Malaga. Only approximately b5 miles away you can get a combination of price, rural setting and still be close.

Perrin, this sounds like a wonderful town, possibly a place for a vacation home.  Great job on the write-up.
