Palo Alto World Music Day

Location - University Ave, Downtown Palo Alto

When - Sunday, June 20, 2010 - 3:00 - 7:30 PM

50 professional and amateur musical groups will perform a wide variety of musical genres on street corners and plazas: jazz, pop, rock, classical, world music, choirs, etc. All performances will be FREE and open to the public.


29th Annual Summer Festival & Chili Cook-off

Location - Mitchell Park – 600 East Meadow Dr., Palo Alto

When - Sunday, July 4, 2010 - 12-5 PM

Celebrate Independence Day at the Palo Alto Summer Festival & Chili Cook-off.  Attracting thousands of sun and chili lovers, the festival embraces everything wonderful about summer.  Taste many varieties of chili prepared by teams of chefs battling for the chili championship.  Live music, line dancing, children’s activities, food vendors, and more.

18th Annual Palo Alto Clay & Glass Festival

Location - Palo Alto Art Center, Palo Alto

When - July 10-11, 2010, 10 AM - 5 PM

Featuring both fine and functional art, the Palo Alto Clay & Glass Festival is the largest show of its kind, with 180 artists displaying their work. The Palo Alto Art Center provides the perfect lawn setting for an open-air weekend of browsing, shopping, or collecting. This FREE event offers visitors a chance to meet the artists and learn about their art, as well as a variety of engaging activities, including hands-on pottery-making and wheelthrowing demonstrations.


24th Annual Connoisseurs' Marketplace

Location - Santa Cruz Avenue, Menlo Park

When - July 17-18, 2010, 10 AM- 6 PM

A sun-splashed weekend featuring world-class art by 250 of America’s top artists, two days of great music, fabulous food and drink, tons of fun for kids, artisan specialty food, home and garden exhibits, health and wellness displays and an organic and green products showcase.


29th Annual Palo Alto Festival of the Arts

Location - University Ave., Downtown, Palo Alto

When - Aug 28-29, 2010, 10:00-6:00

A multi-faceted arts celebration highlights the work of more than 300 artisans from across the country, Italian street painting, entertainment on three stages, kids' art studio, gourmet foods, and more.


Millbrae Art & Wine Festival

Location - On Broadway Avenue (one block west of El Camino Real) between Victoria and Meadow Glen in downtown Millbrae, California.

When - Sept 4-5, 2010, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m

Downtown Millbrae transforms into the “Big Easy” with a Mardi Gras-style feast featuring two sun-splashed days of live music, a juried show with 250 professional artists and craftmakers showing their latest wares, festive food and drink, premium wines, microbrews and margaritas, specialty foods, an organic and green product showcase, home and garden exhibits, health and wellness displays, a classic car show, Chinese Dragon Dance and Taiko Drum performances, tons of fun for kids and endless amusements in Playland.
