Sweet Treat Recipe / Susan Brown, Your Texas Connection, Keller Williams Realty

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams NE, Kingwood Texas (Humble & Atascocita too)

This recipe is a quick "something sweet" when you don't feel like heating that oven up to bake.  And these are always a hit with my group!

Noodly Nutsy Clusters

1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (12 oz) package butterscotch chips
2 (3oz) cans Chow Mein Noodles
1 C salted cashew nuts

Melt chocolate & butterscotch chips together in the microwave until smooth.  Use a large bowl and stir them every 20 seconds or so to make sure they are melting - not burning.  When ready, add noodles & nuts, stirring for even coating.  Dip out by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper & chill in fridge for a few minutes.  Makes 16-24 clusters.

Oh, boy, Susan.  You've given me a great recipe for the next time my grandchildren come to visit.  My motto, "Feed 'em sugar and send 'em home!".

Susan,

Thanks for the great recipe. We used to make something similar to this when I was a kid, but we only used butterscotch morsels--- no chocolate. This recipe will probably be even better.

Pam - LOL.  That is a good one (and one that I may have to use when I finally get grandkids!)

Linda - It is yummy and I wish I had some right now.
