Ballenger Realty will be hosting a Palmetto Heroes open house this Wednesday, June 16, along with Walt Dagley of Wells Fargo Mortgage and the Law Office of Derek Gilbert at Oakview Commons, a condominium community right here in Beaufort. The open house is in conjunction with the South Carolina Housing Authority's Palmetto Heroes program, which offers down payment home-buying assistance exclusively to teachers, police officers, fire fighters and EMS workers.
We will be giving away a $100 grand prize, lunch for two at Grouper's Restaurant on Lady's Island and a nice door prize from Lowes.
The Palmetto Heroes program offers up to $7500 in down payment assistance, and a very competitive interest rate, so it could be of interest to any of your teachers who might be looking to get into their first home, especially now that the $8000 federal tax credit is no longer available. Please note this is for first-time home buyers, and SC Housing Authority conditions do apply.
Oakview Commons is located at the intersection of Highway 280 and Old Jericho Road. Call 843.263.6886 for more information.
