The Akron Art Museum's outdoor summer concert series Downtown@Dusk will return for its 26th year on Thursday evenings from June 24 through Aug. 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Concerts will take place rain or shine.

Concert-goers can enjoy local music with a lineup of eight bands whose genres range from reggae to rock. The free concerts will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the museum's High Street parking lot, or in the Beatrice Knapp McDowell Grand Lobby in case of rain. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on the terrace, and other activities, including Family Fun Nights and ArtTalks@Dusk, will take place on the lawn and in the auditorium, respectively.

Live personalities from 89.7 WKSU will emcee each concert.

Family Fun Nights and ArtTalks@Dusk

During Family Fun Nights, kids and an accompanying adult can join museum educators to participate in free, hands-on art activities inspired by artwork in the museum from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

While the band takes a break, join museum staff, area artists and local experts for ArtTalks@Dusk. Presenters will offer a series of free informal talks about the exhibitions on view as well as a variety of other art-related topics from 7:30 to 7:45 p.m. each Thursday.

Also, be sure to stop in and view the exhibitions Detroit Disassembled: Photographs by Andrew Moore and Arctic Re-visions: Isaac Julien's True North. The galleries are open until 9 p.m. with paid admission.
