365 Tips To Becoming A Successful Realtor®
Tip #23 - Guarantee Your Buyers' Loyalty with "The Book"
Probably the biggest frustration when working with buyers is that they aren't loyal to you and it seems that, in the blink of an eye, they will wander off to buy a home with another agent. I have been using the following tip with first time buyers for the past 2 years with huge success. I have only lost 1 buyer in that time and it was because the couldn't qualify for a loan. Try this tip and see if you have as good of success with it as I do.
At your buyer interview, bring whatever legal documents that your state requires, a buyer agency agreement, and a copy of the book Your First Home by Gary Keller. When they sign to paperwork, give them the book and tell them that they should read it over the next few days. Explain that it will walk them through the buying process from A to Z.
I use the hardcover version of the book and they cost me about $10 each. The perceived value is much higher and my first time buyer clients absolutely love it.
Not a KW agent? It doesn't matter. As with all of Gary's books, it is written for everyone. It isn't a manifesto to Keller Williams. It is a quality book that is loaded with valuable information for anyone buying their first home.

Wow, I've never even heard of that book, I'm embarrassed to admit. I will check it out, though! Thanks!
