El Capitan Canyon is located about 15 miles west of Santa Barbara, up the 101, and then a quick drive into the canyon off the freeway. Designed to be like glamping (if you google the word, you actually end up on the El Capitan Canyon web site!), this location offers really luxury camping opportunities for everyone!
The El Capitan Canyon Concert Series is a fun event that happens every Saturday night throughout the summer. Plan to arrive around 5:00 to pick out a picnic spot, bring chairs to sit around the campfire or on the grass to listen to the different bands that play each night. The campfire is especially fun for families - its a huge bonfire - you only need to bring your s'more supplies and off you go.
If you want to come just for the evening, you can bring your own food or a delicious BBQ is served by the owners. There is a gift shop/snack store in case you forget something - like chocolate or marshmallows!
The temperature at night can be chilly - so come prepared with lots of layers for the kids. And don't forget to wear your dancing shoes - the bands are so much fun!
