Buck Fever? My Listings come equipped with Deer. Don't Everyone's Listings have Deer?

When I was driving out to Heritage Pointe Last week to shoot video, I noticed a large deer in a clearing along US 64.  It was odd.  We are experiencing very hot weather for mid-June, with daily temperatures in the 90's.

I would not expect to see deer moving in daylight in hot weather.

And today, when I was going out, I looked up Patriot Drive, the first turn into Heritage Pointe, and saw a doe and a younger deer, maybe a yearling.

That got me going.  I dropped my flyers in the flyer boxes, and took off with the camera.  Of course they were gone, but this nice young buck with his antlers in velvet greeted me on Patriot Drive.  He was a little camera shy, but posed briefly before he slipped under cover. I think he is proud of his new antlers, and wanted me to see them.

Buck Fever!

I am still curious about the daylight movement.  I wonder if they need to source water more often in the heat.

Mike - I would be thrilled to see the deer, and would definitely have stopped to take photographs.

Hi Mike , that was " cool " post and an interesting question you raised. Wildlife in general have been out and more visible this year for some reason.

I help brokers build businesses they love.

We also have very wooded areas, and the deer seem to be braver than ever.  Even the supposedly deer-proof hostas and yews are victims -- can't even do tulips, perennials  or most veggies anymore. Maybe the lack or predators? Pretty photos, thanks.

Sharon,

I need a chauffer so I take photos as I drive.  It just took too long to get the camera up and the window down.  I was 40 feet from this guy when I pulled up.

I always enjoy seeing deer.

William,

We have a LOT of rabbits...

Leslie,

Thanks, We used to get a few deer in the yard at home, but we have a new church behind us, and 5 acres of woods were removed for it.  The deer departed.

Mike...

It is very surprising to see them moving in the heat of day. They always sneak in here at night to eat my garden!

Yes, I am a little mystified.
