Steve and Wanda Williams have owned the Scotland Feed Store in Laurinburg since 1986. The Purina store is a great place to go just to browse around and see what's for sale. They carry a complete line of animal supplies, lawn and garden supplies, complete line of bee supplies, pet food, pet medicine, seed in bulk or package, garden plants, pine straw, saddles, western tact, potting soil and dog kennels.
In addition to all of that, they carry bait for fishing including worms, minnows and crickets. For the farmers, they carry gates and fencing materials.
For the fish lovers, they have several aquariums of tropical fish too! If you need an aquarium or new tank, etc., they can fix you right up.
The big item that a many customers wish were a secret is Steve's freezer with cuts of grain-fed, farm fresh angus beef. Their tri-fold brochure for the beef shows many packages available up to a 50 lb variety box for $289.95.
Brand new to Scotland Feed is a propane filling station for your gas grills just being installed today. Steve will be competitive and very convenient for their customers.
Steve and Wanda have become a good friends of mine over the years and I am very thankful for their assistance in helping us implement a new community garden back in 2008 that continues to be an asset of our progressive small college town.
Scotland Feed is open M-F 8:30 AM - 6 PM and 8:30 AM - 3 PM on Saturday. They are closed on Sunday for worship.
Scotland Feed is located at 1705 US Hwy 15-401 ByPass South near McKenzie Supply and Wooley McDuff's restaurant.

Beyond having a charming downtown area, Laurinburg, NC has many things that attract visitors and retirees to town. Thanks to the strong equestrian program at St. Andrews Presbyterian College with over 100 horses and 200 students majoring in equestrian programs, Laurinburg, NC is becoming an equestrian community.
