It finally happened for my very patient seller. The military Homeowners Assistance Program, known as HAP, has finally come through. After a year of stops and starts and ups and downs, we went to settlement today. My seller's application took quite a while to get approved. Then we listed in home in March and immediately received three offers. We had very cooperative buyers (thankfully). My seller immediately provided HAP with everything they needed in a timely fashion and we muddled through. Overall, it took 93 days from HAP receiving a contract to day of settlement. Not too bad. Bring on the next one, I am ready.
