Thanks for the beautiful picture. I really enjoy the spring and summer flowers.
Blooming for Father's Day.
Lenn~
Such a brilliant display in your photo. I think this must be one of the most colorful declarations of summer...along with the red white and blue!
It's been summer here a long time ago. We've been dealing with 90degree weather for a while now. So much so, that my husband passed out because of heat exhaustion last Wednesday. That was too scary.
I just love this time of year in Virginia! I grew up in Arizona and we had a different kind of beauty out there. But you just can't beat these lovely wildflowers.
Beautiful flower, thanks for sharing that with us today....................there is so much beauty out there, wonderful that you captured it for us.
Beautiful photo Lenn! I love tiger Lilies. They are not fancy but are still pretty.
Such a beautiful picture that represents one of the benefits of summer. Can you tell that I love this time of year? :)
I'm starting to see these in our neighborhood. I love the bright orange color. And they are much more resilient than that long skinny stalk would have you believe.
I don't see it very often from you but when you take pictures, they are fantastic Lenn!
Beautiful photo. I don't think we appreciate the beauty of Virginia enough! Thanks for sharing.
GORGEOUS! I grew up in Virginia and photos like this make me miss it!...guess I'll just have to go visit my family in Roanoke soon:-)
Nothing as beautiful as something right out of NATURE! That tiger lily pic was absolutely stunning! Nice pic Lenn!
Lenn I have some growing along the side of my house. They certainly brighten things up.
Hey, Lenn:
Your tiger lily is gorgeous! I wish we had them growing wild here, too. I just posted a photo of my carefully nurtured daylily--it's the time of the year for appreciating their beautiful colors!
Cheers,
Robin
Lenn they are so hardy and make for excellent ground cover plus the great orange flowers. Very nice
I'm not sure what dark evil forces are hovering over the Pacific NW . . . but we have had NO spring, and summer is being greated like this: today is rain, temp 55. It's cool, damp and wet. It's been this way for 9 weeks. And I'm not making that up. We had fall last year, then winter, then fall. Spring has been totally erased. We will have a very short-lived summer, if it gets here at all, and then in mid-October the weather will start to turn back to fall and winter seaons. Basically, we have 8 months of this crap! The strawberry crop is ruined this year from all the rain. Miserable!
Hi Lenn, It must be beautiful there if these grow by the roadsides! I love the bright punch of color. Our high altitude wildflowers tend to be closer to the ground and not so showy.
I have just started incorporating orange in my garden. I am suddenly in love with it! Great photo!
My drive into town from Keswick is so beautiful now....many of the farms and estates along Route 20 don't mow them down as VDOT often does and they are BEAUTIFUL
