Only about a 45 minute drive from Pell City you will find the most amazing gardens you have ever visited. Birmingham Botanical Gardens carries the title of the States largest living museum with more than 10,000 plants.
We spent the day enjoying the area gardens on the 67.5 tract of land. You can get lost in the beauty of the 25 or more
area gardens and all of the outdoor sculptures. If you want to hike the miles of pathways, you will be presently surprised at what you will find around every corner.
What I found the most interesting was the horticulture library with books on just about anything to do with horticulture that you could ever want.
The Birmingham Botanical Gardens mission is to further educate people about the plants and the environment. From my first visit there you can see that they are doing an excellent job in succeeding in their mission.
