Nestled between the towering Cascades in the Upper Fraser Valley is the small community of Agassiz.  Considered to be a part of the District of Kent, the Agassiz area  offers a lifestyle r where you can ski, fish, swim, cycle, hike, and golf all in one day, or visit the area's most popular attractions such as Harrison Hot Springs, Minter Gardens, the Trans-Canada Waterslides, or Dinotown. All of this just 15 minutes east of Chilliwack and 90 minutes east of Vancouver.

Agassiz is als well known for its motocross at Agassiz Speedway and Agassiz Motocross.  Its smalll town atmosphere really shines at the annual Agassiz Fall Fair and Corn Festival, giving Agassize its well deserved title of Corn Capital of B.C.!

How do you pronounce "Agassiz"?  I know. I'm a bit anal retentive (just a bit. HAH!) But seriously, I'm very literal, and I guess very curious too. I kept trying to figure out where the emphasis went.  >.<

BTW, I like your Feedjit widget. I may replace the one from MyBlogLog with that one iinstead. I like the way it shows the location of the visitor =)

Oh, great Localism post too! =)

It's been a while since I visited Agassiz Liz.

Since my son will be getting married (finally) in September at the Fraser River Lodge I'm looking forward to returning.
