On Stray Cats

I ran across some interesting facts about stray cats.

You may want to keep these at hand when dealing with these critters.

Stray cats will not be fed.

Stray cats will not be fed anything except dry cat food with a little milk.

Stray cats will not be fed anything except dry cat food moistened with milk,

yummy treats and leftover fish scraps.

Stray cats will not be petted, played with or picked up

and cuddled unnecessarily. Stray cats that are petted, picked

up and cuddled and will absolutely not be given a name. Stray cats with

or without a name will not be allowed in the house at any time.

Stray cats will not be permitted to jump up or sharpen

their claws on the furniture. Stray cats will be permitted on the

furniture but must sharpen their claws on the new $114.99 sisal rope

scratching post with three sitting perches.

Stray cats will sleep outside. Stray cats will sleep in the garage.

Stray cats may sleep inside but not on the bed. Stray cats that sleep

on the bed however, will not be allowed under the covers.

Stray cats will not be allowed on the desk and are not

allowed anywhere near the computer. Stray cats are forbidden

to walk on the keyboard when a human is using it.

Love the post and I "get" the story.  I have a friend with 9 stray cats (there were 12 at one time).  These stray cats have been with her for as little as 6 years and as much as 13 years.  At what point are they no longer referred to as ferel cats or stray cats?  Is it at the point when the cashier in the grocery store calls her the "cat lady" because of the cases of cat food she buys?  Is it the point when they are all now sleeping in the house, maybe one holdout (Rosie who has been there 13 yrs.) who still prefers the garage?  I love everyone of them, as does my friend.  So does the Vet.  She gets discount.  But no one really wants to admit to having 9 cats in the house, so they will be stray cats for now.
