Patricia,
I did not set my alarm clock for this photo shoot. It just happened that I woke up and could not go back to sleep and after an hour, with the sky color getting lighter, I figured might as well go outdoors and enjoy a sunrise along with my dogs. I probably got lot more sunrise photos as well. :)
Charles,
You are welcome. Thank you for stopping by to enjoy the morning scenery. :)
Gerry - what glorious colors. Love this photo series. But I'm more like Pat - sticking with the sunsets. I have a haard time getting up and out in time for the the sunrises. Thanks for sharing.
Gerry - These are some of the most gorgeous and colourful (or colorful if you prefer) sunrise photos I have seen! I'll bet that the blue bird parents wanted to make sure their kids saw the gorgeous sunrise too!
You were up VERY early!! But you captured some gorgeous colors in your shots!
Leah,
Thank you for visiting this post. I am usually not an early riser but the birds were chirping louder than usual that morning and I guess it was meant to be. I made sure I got plenty of sleep at the end of that day and I was up much later this morning. :)
Marc,
The nesting box was deep (as seen from the photos of the other post from the same day) and I don't think the blue bird chicks could see any of the beautiful sunrise. But, I hope they will get to experience plenty of beautiful sunrises once they come out of the nest. Until then, they will have to take their parents' word for it. :)
Jim & Maria,
The birds made me do it! :)
Thank you for visiting this post and for your comment.
Talk about birds, since you two are from South Carolina, some bird told me that you may also enjoy looking at the photos in this recent post of mine: Love is Everywhere but Can You See it? Sending You Some Love Signs from Red Lodge, Montana
Gerry in the Red Lodge, we only have one questions for you............what the heck were you doing up that early and on a Sunday!
Gerry ~ your photos of the blue bird were just beautiful. I had to come see your sunrise photos. I was not disappointed. I love the hot pink color that you captured!
Hello Gary and these photos are wonderful and look at those "REDS" ... and featured at one of my favorite groups!

Al and Peggy,
I just woke up early and could not go back to sleep. I guess Mother Nature wanted me to experience and share this sunrise with my Canadian Buddies and all my friends here on AR. :)
Dawn,
Thank you. I am glad you visited this pair of posts that tied well with each other. Lots of intense colors from the hot pink of the morning sky to the bright blue of the blue bird. :)
Vegas Bob,
RED seems to be fitting for Red Lodge. Thank you for the feature at one of my favorite groups as well (and created by you). :)
Gerry
I applaud those of you who get out there to show us what a sunrise looks like lol. Boy the sun sure does come up early in your neck of the woods. I'm sure your dogs were ready for a nap when they got home. Were you?
Jenny,
The dogs did get their nap later that day. No nap for me. Since I got up very early that day, I also went to bed early. :)
Beautiful photos! I do more sunset shots. I have trouble getting up early enough for sun rise, but you sure do show that it's worth the trouble.
