FIRST PEEK AT A PEAK!

FIRST PEEK AT A PEAK!  Day one as we drove up into the mountains from Denver and this picture is the first peak that we saw.  As a Texan, there is something really cool about seeing a snow-capped mountain.  I was like a kid in a candy shop!  As we rounded the curve and saw this sight we knew we were officially on vacation now!

Colorado Mountains

I wish the picture was a little better but had to take this through the windshield.  For me, I wanted to remember the picture as it represents a week of no humidity, rest and relaxation.  You guys who have mountains in your backyard are so blessed!  I am loving the view!

We are in Fraser, Colorado at Crooked Creek Young Life Camp as adult guests.  The energy here is unbelievable!  Seeing these high school kid without their cell phones and computers and just having fun is awesome!  I am ready for a full week here in these gorgeous mountains!

I know what you mean Paula.  I felt the same way when I experience the view of snow capped mountains in Utah.  As much as I dislike the cold, I just didn't want to leave. Enjoy and more pics please.

Paula, when I lived in far northern California I lived very close to Mt Shasta,  I was always amazed that in the summer months when it was 100 degrees there would still be snow on the mountaintop...

Paula,

The voice of the Lord sounds like a megaphone of calm while in the mountains.  Have a great time. g
