Business Networking Relationships
The letter from Seth Godin's editor Carol to my friend Maury is dated October 20, 1994.
This is the letterhead on the left.
Maury and I know each other through the Thomas Morgan Professional Partners chapter of BNI (Business Networking International.) Along with 25 other professionals, we have lunch together every Wednesday specifically to refer business to each other.
This past Wednesday, I was carrying a book I'm reading, Seth Godin's Linchpin.
When I shared it with Maury, he responded "I wrote a chapter in one of Seth Godin's books. It was a long time ago." Maury's chapter (Fax On Demand) appears in Godin's 1995 book eMarketing ~ Reaping Profits on the Information Highway.

We never know who the person in our sphere of influence knows. The next time you're wondering how someone else can help you, think instead how you might get to know them better, and help them. That's the philosophy taught by Dr. Ivan Misner, founder of Business Networking International.
