"Growing your Online Audience"
The basic steps~
First--Identify your Target Audience. What is your niche in your market?
Second-- Identify what Social Media tools you are going to use to market to this sphere. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn, Yelp..etc... we have hundreds of media tools now, which ones cater to your target market.
Third--Listen and Observe the market. Understand what they want and their needs! Listen and Learn!
Forth-- Start attracting new friends from that particular market. Ex: Make a Facebook Page just for the particular market and try to attract friends by providing them information and tools useful for them!
My Facebook Page offers tips, news, updates, giveaways, and other useful information for people who are in my particular area. I have attracted a number of people who I do now know personally, but know others who are on my fanpage. My fanpage thus will also drive that traffic to my own personal website, therefore generating new potiential leads for myself and my company.
Tools like TweetBeep.com and HootSuite.com can allow you to Monitor and keep track of updates that are coming from you and from others. The key in these tools is to constantly monitor and update regularly to ensure fresh content and interaction between you and the niche market. Once that interaction is created and mantained, a realtionship will develop and business can be generated!
One other key feature of the Internet nowadays is to see how your competion is doing! Watch them and see how they are being successul! We as Realtors can share our success with others, but it is how they maintain it that can be the difference in 20 good leads or 20 bad ones.
You also need to see how others are referring to you online. You want to know what others are saying about your business (company) and you as an individual agent. Do not be afraid to ask for referrals or a good testimonial for your online presenece. In LinkedIn, ask clients for a testimonial and you can be ranked for other agents to see you!
