Summer has arrived, and the sun is still light enough to chase a ball around the fairway until 8pm or later. Some of our local Huntington Beach Golf Courses offer discounts for walking around at dusk launching nearly invisible flying objects 300+ yards at those in front of you! If you are looking to get your GOLF on this summer, and don't want to spend a fortune, try these courses.
•1. Meadowlark Golf Course - Twilight starts at 3pm for $16, or Super Twilight at 5pm for $13. Juniors can play for as little as $9 after 11am. There is frequently a lot of traffic, but you can walk on at 2:30 most days and have no one in front of you, since they are all waiting for the 3pm discount. www.MeadowLarkGC.com
•2. Located on Warner in Fountain Valley, the Mile Square Golf Course is a must play! Check with pro-shop for current twilight times, but the rates are for 9 hole twilight drop to $21 Monday -Thursday. www.MileSquareGC.com
•3. The Costa Mesa Country Club features two great courses, Los Lagos and Mesa Linda. Most mornings you can practically walk onto Mesa Linda when there are lines for Los Lagos, but don't let that fool you, the greens are slippery! Monday and Tuesday they have a golfers special; between 12pm - 1:30pm, play Mesa Linda WITH CART for only $29! Located just outside of Huntington Beach near Harbor and Adams, this is a great deal.
