GRANDMOTHER'S CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE
Here is a receipe handed down to me from my mother. I have made this cake and it is awesome. Not responsible for the calories.....:)
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 sticks butter
- 3 cups plain flour
- 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- dash of lemon flavoring
Let butter and cream cheese soften to very soft. Let eggs reach room temperature. Cream sugar, cheese and butter (this can be done by hand with a whisk.) Add 2 eggs and 1 cup of flour at a time, mixing well each time one is added until all are in. Add dash of lemon flavoring. Grease and flour cake pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. ENJOY!!!!
