Turtles at Green Lake

Turtles at Green Lake

Have to admit, I never knew they were here ... I spotted them because there was a group of people standing on the south west shore of Green Lake.

There are close to 20 turtles sitting on the logs even when the sun isn't out.

The lily pads get denser as summer comes and they tend to blend in.

Very great photo. We have a lot of land turtles here and it seems that at this time of year they are crossing the road.

I never even knew we had turtles in Washington until now.  Super cute!

Hi Kate,

Nice picture.  My son always tries to catch turtles.  Or if he sees one crossing the road, we have to stop to help it along.
