 Soci@l the Book

Love the book...  Not sure if you have had a chance to read it, it is pretty awesome.  There are so many books out there on social media, advertising, web 2.0 and on...  This book, is purely based on what Real Estate Agents should be doing right now, not what big companies should do.  So it rings true to us as real estate professionals.

Chapter 2 of the book talks about where your audience is, in relation to being online and offline.   It is true that we all need to prospect & market every day, build our database and feed it and systematically market and prospect to that database.  So reading this chapter helps you understand how to fit online social media into that mix.

Online social media gives us an unlimited audience, so this chapter helps us understand the best tools to use to capture the most leads in our net.  Not only how to, but what tools and tips should we be utilizing to best grow this audience and of course OUR relevance to them.  It's not how many people we know or are friends with...  It's how many of them think of us when they need help in Real Estate.

From idendifying your niche, to listening and observing what they are doing (and when to talk!), to how to attract friends and connections, to interacting online.  This chapter helps you understand using Facebook, twitter, linked in and some of the utility sites that you can use in conjunction with the previously mentioned sites.

The book is free, and I encourage everyone to go to the rain camp site, and download it today!

Michael - Thanks for the post.  Interesting thought.  I feel that growing your audience is the first step towards growing your pool of prospects.  The more people you have "listening" to you, the more chances you will have in obtaining new clients.  What are your thoughts?

Phly - :)  NP.  I agree!  Give me the microphone at karaoke and you will not be able to take it away!  btw, how do you pronounce your name?  Cool!
