The good news: Our company, Keller Williams Realty Mid-Willamette is in the process of moving to a new home, and we have a clean slate with our new building to start from scratch with our phone system.
The bad: Having to make the decision for a new phone system.
After talking to no less than 10 vendors of phone systems, four had similar systems. Two companies recommended Allworx 24x, and two recommended going with an asterisk system. The other companies have recommended NEC, shoretel, traditional POTS system, and others. My biggest problem is believing what any of the sales reps have to say. Everyone has the best system for us, which just happens to be the one that they sell, of course. I feel like a buyer asking for a modest 3/1 house and being shown mansions on the other side of the state.
I'm asking for help from the Active Rain community. Have you installed an IP phone system? Does it work? Would you buy it again given the chance? Do you have any experiene with this, or do you know someone who does? We have 2 months until move in, so we need a decision quickly, and some guidance would be wonderful!
