Handling The Roller Coaster Flow Of Life

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

CoasterIn talking with many agents that can get down in the dumps about business conditions individually or if there is a personal situation where they just tell me this day plain sucks, I remind them about

Handling The Roller Coaster Flow Of Life.

Sure we've all heard the phrase this too shall pass, and while that can provide comfort, a better understanding of the flow of life I think is in order. There are mountaintops and valleys we find ourselves in life and the times heading towards the top or towards the bottom. Life literally is a roller coaster. No one, great or small, rich or poor, stays on the mountaintop all the time, nor gets mired in the mud in the bottom. The fact is life is FULL of beginnings and endings for jobs, positions, relationships, phases of our life and even where we live and the homes we live in and the cars we drive. I try to tell people it is ALL GOOD, even the toughest of times, cause it is an experience to feel and learn from. Do we like those wrenching bad times? Heck no. But most of the time we live in the transitions from going from top to bottom in resetting ourselves or in a growth phase from bottom to top. Just know when you are on top, surely there is another deep roll off the roller coaster top track approaching around the bend. We need to declare an ending, go through a transition, THEN start the new beginning. And know all along that is OK for us wherever we are in the process.

Also, don't rush the neutral zone, and let go of the ending behind you.

And be mature enough to know as with the whole roller coaster experience in life, each new beginning will some day have an ending too. Don't cry over it but.....

Enjoy the ride !!

It's been fun lately...busy though.  I miss being able to keep up with all the interesting stuff on the Rain.  I can't keep all the balls in the air.  And, the roller coaster just keeps jarring me this way and that.  Won't complain.  Thanks, luv.

Gary - Not only can we learn from the downs of life's roller coaster, we are offered these moments as an opportunity to slow down and catch our breath.

This is a great post - the neutral zone - I love it.  That must be what I'm in right now!  HA!  I remind myself over and over to keep my mind on the little blessings when times are challenging.  And it sure helps!  My mother advised me long ago that anytime I feel a pity party coming on, go visit someone elderly.  Their wisdom, their outlook, their stamina - is ALWAYS inspiring. It reminds us that yes, life is a rollercoaster!

Gary, For the first 35 years of my life I was living that roller coaster ride.  It took me accepting Jesus as my personal savior for the ride to FINALLY even out!
